About this map
An interactive map of the Garden State Model Railway Club HO layout in North Haledon, NJ — the Garden State Northern mainline and the Otter Creek & Perry branch. It doesn't connect to the real layout yet.
Phase 1 — Now
Schematic map, virtual control panels, open editor with photo tracing. Currently showing a made-up sample until the real track plan is drawn.
Phase 2 — Photos & video
Straighten layout photos to a top-down view, AI-read track features from photos, and import cab-ride video traces as a starting line.
Phase 3 — Live layout
A JMRI bridge at the club reads NCE DCC and C/MRI detection, so the map shows block occupancy and train locations during shows. Read-only first.
